The steps in this article were performed in the desktop version of the Google Chrome Web browser. The first section of this article provides a quick overview on where to see your recent downloads.

Step 2: Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button at the top-right of the window. Here you can view the files that you have recently downloaded. Note that if you click the Show in folder button you will open a Windows Explorer window where you can view the file in the folder where it is currently located.

If all of your downloaded files are saved in the same folder, you can sort that folder in Windows by right-clicking in an empty space in the folder, selecting Sort by , then choosing the Date modified option. Would you like Google Chrome to ask you where to download each file?

If you click the Show in folder link under each file, a Windows Explorer window will open with the selected file highlighted. There is also an Open downloads folder at the top-right corner of the window that will open the folder that is currently set as your downloads folder.

Once the folder is open, you can click the column headings at the top of the window to sort the files based upon that parameter. For example, clicking the Name option would sort the files by file name, while clicking Date modified will sort the files based on the date that they were downloaded to your computer.
